Imagine being a fox

SIR - I feel I must express my feelings for the poor fox in the recent debate. I wish the people that are in favour of fox-hunting would find themselves in the same position as the fox and imagine themselves being chased by a mad pack of dogs, knowing when they get them they will be ripped apart and finding the heart pounding to bursting point as they run as fast as they can, scared for their very life, like a murderer after you. Maybe, if that happened to them, they would feel very differently about this so called sport,

I understand there may be a need to keep the amount of foxes under control, so surely shooting them outright using trained shooters would be a more humane and decent way of killing them. I know which way I'd prefer to die.

So please for a while put yourself in the fox's place. We are human beings and should know better.
