MUSIC filled the air on Saturday for the third annual Dursley Folk and Acoustic Music Day.
The event is a celebration of singing and music grounded in traditional folk but also embraces other music genres.
During the day, participants took part in a series of workshops at Kingshill House, including singing together, folk dance tunes, songs of the travelling people and blues workshops.
In the evening, musicians who led the workshops performed an evening concert and celidh at St Dominic's Church Hall.
Performances included harmony group CMR - Moira Criag, Sarah Morgan and Carolyn Robson, Mainbrace, Malarky and Jeff Gillett.
Organiser David Cheffings said: "It was marvellous day. I had some very positive comments from the people who came. I was able to relax and enjoy the day.
"There was a large variety of things to do and people said they couldn't choose between the workshops because there was so much choice.
"A lot of local people came and got involve in it and I was very encouraged by it. It was the first time we held it at Kingshill House and it was good to have the workshops in once place, instead of having to move around. The evening concert at St Dominic's RC Church Hall was packed."
He added: "I am very grateful to the people at Kingshill House to providing the facilities and to everybody who helped."
