Cadets looking for new recruits

A RECRUITMENT drive is being run by the Army Cadet Force in Wotton-under-Edge.

The group is open to boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 and meets at a centre behind Katharine Lady Berkeley's Mews in School Road.

Meetings - or parades - take place every Thursday (7-9pm).

Leader Vicky Longworth said: "Young people can get involved in military matters, fieldcraft, map and compass work and they can join our Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes and many sporting activities."

The group is looking for around ten new members. Other army cadet groups exist in Dursley and Stroud.
