'Shed' not in keeping with area

SIR - I had a good look at The Weaver's House restoration in Dursley. The house looks quite attractive but what has it got that garden shed by the side for? It is not in harmony with the Market Place, church, bank and the lovely buildings in Long Street.

This is a Cotswold market town. Any buildings that are restored (we should be so lucky) should enhance this. Incidentally how much did that glorified shed cost?

As MPs have had their expenses published surely we, the public, are entitled to know this (did council tax pay for it?).

Incidentally the library missed their chance when the Warehouse was for sale - a beautiful building, two storeys high in a lovely position. We'll have to wait and see whether the new building enhances the town or is another eyesore.
