• Indian summer ends in more rain

  FOLLOWING a wet August, September began with an Indian summer, with no rain during the first nine days of the month. Afternoon temperatures climbed to 21 degrees Centigrade (70 Fahrenheit) or above on eight occasions. Thereafter the month was less settled, 2.48in of rain being recorded. Wettest day was the 17th with a measurement of 0.59in. read more
