Thieves target superstore

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of electrical and other goods have been stolen from the Co-op superstore in Cam.

Police are looking for a male and a female after more than 20 large items were taken on Saturday evening.

The pair were captured on CCTV hanging around the electrical goods section around 8pm on Friday. A small number of items was subsequently found to have been taken.

However, around the same time the following day the same two people were seen in the electrical department again. They were then seen to be loading electrical goods into a Ford Escort via a fire exit.

In all, five TV/DVD players, six DVD players, ten telephones, three breakfast sets and three bread-makers were taken from the shop.

The male involved is described as white, in his early 20s, with stubble and short, dark hair. He was wearing a green shirt with a black coat.

His female accomplice is also white, with curly brown shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a dark jacket and dark trousers.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or been offered any of the goods should call the police on 0845 0901234 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
