Fouling will be prosecuted

SIR - May I remind the person(s) who exercise their dog on Upper Poole Road, Dursley, and allow it to foul the pavement on almost a daily basis, that they can be fined a maximum of £1000 consistent with a bye-law for this offence.

This anti-social behaviour causes distress to everyone and can, unnecessarily, give all dog-owners a bad name.

I would lose no time in prosecuting if the perpetrators are positively identified.
