Musical fireworks

SIR - Public-spirited aficionados of Dursley Male Voice Choir have responded in force and willingly coughed up the £10 ticket price for the latest concert.

It was no surprise to see the Lister Hall packed once again, with supporters of the choir and the tsunami disaster appeal.

What, though, was extraordinary was the choir's ability to put together a performance like this so soon after the Christmas concert. Soloist Kevin Robbins who, like everyone else, gave his services free, delighted us all with what can only be described as musical fireworks which must be seen and heard to be believed.

The choir as usual was on top form and the huge audience adequately showed their appreciation.

Thank you choir and thank you all concerned.
