Lights stop traffic flow

A FEW weeks ago you published a story about the new traffic lights at junction 14 of the M5 and how they had not worked properly during the morning rush hour.

The lights have been turned on again this week and the problem doesn't appear to have been solved.

It usually takes me a minute or two to negotiate the junction with never more than five or six cars having to queue to turn onto the M5.

However, with the new lights, it took me 10 minutes this morning and I had to queue back onto the A38, surely this isn't progress!
