VALE VISION is launching the first community strategic plan for Dursley and the surrounding area.
The launch at Kingshill House on Saturday, May 21, will allow the public to find out more about what the plan involves.
Visitors will be able to explore the plan, ask questions and celebrate with everyone who has helped bring it to fruition.
Funded by the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative, Vale Vision has collected views from the community to draw up a plan and projects that cover issues important local residents.
Organiser Shirley Hill said: "There are draft projects with regard to jobs and training, tourism, the environment, transport, social and community, leisure activities and the developments that are happening in our area.
"We would like the ideas and input of local residents on these projects."
The launch has a programme of events for all ages and a range of groups from the Vale Vision area.
There will be children's art displays as well as art and craft displays by local people.
In addition, there will also be music from children at secondary and junior schools in the Vale Vision area.
Children can have a go on a bouncy castle, while there will also be a clown, juggling, face painting as well as toddlers crche and art sessions for the under five's.
The Learning Community will be there to encourage people to get the learning bug for anything from mending a tap to DJing.
Cam FM will be broadcasting for the event and young people interested in radio will be able to visit the recording studio.
Youth, voluntary and charity groups will have the chance to raise funds at the event if they contact Vale Vision on 01453 549208.
To make sure visitors do not go hungry there will be refreshments, food, free tea and coffee, or for those who prefer something stronger, the newly refurbished Kingshill House Bar will be open.
Vale Vision are laying on a Classic Shuttle Bus to make sure that everyone can get to Kingshill House.
The bus will travel from Slimbridge to Dursley, via Coaley, Upper Cam, Lower Cam and Uley.
