What now is the future for hospital?

NOW that David Drew has scraped back in, courtesy perhaps, of UKIP maybe he will tell us what is happening to Standish Hospital.

I gather that is was Labour policy to close it as an NHS hospital and centralise all services in Gloucester.

Is Standish now to be deliberately allowed to deteriorate, to the extent that it may be conveniently claimed that too much money would be needed to restore it and, therefore, it must be demolished?

Will the way then be clear for what was, perhaps, the intention all along. The site stripped of all its beautiful and rare trees and wildlife, then turned into a housing estate. Imagine the sums of money that would accrue!
