Tyndale Archers, an accomplished and successful club, were competing at the Minchinhampton Bowmen's Summer Tournament earlier this month and came away with a host of impressive results.

Indeed, the Archers achieved all sorts of success at the competition, with club members coming first in four classifications having competed against clubs from the across the county including Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Among the club's results were: Gents Compound Classification (York) Jim McPhail; Gents Recurve Classification (Hereford) Stan Bembemek; Gents Recurve Classification (National) Marcus Blitz; Gents Longbow Classification (Hereford) Brendan O'Connor.

The club has a successful history in major tournaments and can boast within its ranks the two-time county indoor championship winner Jim McPhail.

Tyndale Archers is based at Woodfield School and has a membership of approximately 20 archers, mostly from the Cam area, and a history of 20 years.

The club comprises longbow, compound and recurve archers that meet on a Tuesday evening, and it has recently completed a training course for new club members.
