New Gazette sports editor

A NEW man will be at the helm of the Gazette sports pages from Monday.

Keith Watson will take on the role of sports editor after spending the last two years as a news reporter for Dursley, Cam and Berkeley on the Gloucestershire edition of the Gazette.

Keith, who originally hails from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, is a passionate sports fan and keen sportsman.

He is already heavily involved in the local sports scene, playing football and cricket for Cam, as well as coaching the Cam Ladies football team.

"I'm really looking forward to it," he said. "The reason I got into journalism was to work in sport.

"I want to deliver a comprehensive level of sports coverage every week, so if you have a story or report, don't hesitate to get in touch."
