Cotswolds insprie watercolour artist

WATERCOLOUR painter Judi Whitton can be seen around the Cotswolds this summer, sheltering from the sun under her white painting umbrella.

She is busy painting additional work for an exciting and unique Exhibition of Watercolours to be held at Painswick Town Hall in the autumn.

Judi is a professional artist who has lived in the Cotswolds for the last 30 years, and has a growing international reputation for her free, impressionistic style of painting.

During the last few years, Judi has written articles for The Artist Magazine, been one of the contributing authors of HarperCollins' Watercolour Problem Solver book, and written her own book for Harper Collins, Loosen up Your Watercolours.

Although she travels extensively in her work as a painter, author and teacher, she loves to return home and revels in capturing the beauty of the Cotswolds in her work.

Judi said: "Painting makes you really observe and take notice of your surroundings, and is very rewarding.

"It is a real challenge to convey your feelings about a place in paint."

Painting students who would like to find out about Judi Whitton's watercolour courses in the Cotswolds can contact 'Judi Whitton on Location' on 01453 882949 or e-mail onlocation@watercolour.co.uk

The Watercolour Exhibition in Painswick takes place on October 15 and October 16, between 10amand 6pm.

Many of the original paintings featured in Judi Whitton's new book will be in the exhibition.
