RENOWNED writer Katie Fforde officially opened the Cotswold Care Hospice bookshop in Dursley on Wednesday.
The shop, which was opened to the two weeks ago, is located in Parsonage Street and has a wide collection of second hand books.
Manager Joe Feeley said: "It's been going really well here. Trade seems to be very good and we are getting excellent donations from the public, as well as good feed back about the shop.
"We welcome any donations of books - it is what keeps us going." "I am very pleased to have opened this shop," said Mrs Fforde, who lives in Rodborough, Stroud.
"It is a really beautiful shop and a great resource for the town. The Cotswold Care Hospice is one of my charities - it is local to where I live and does some very important work."
Anyone who would like to donate books can drop them off at the shop.
