Railway regulars raft

AN INTREPID team of regulars from the Railway Inn, Cam, have taken on and completed the Monmouth to Whitebrook Raft Race.

Pete Hedges, John Pearce, John Sweet, Steve Longmire, Riddy the Rodder, Richard Ford, Paul Minett and Ted Taylor tackled the six-mile-long course on Sunday, September 4.

Up against 79 other rafts, the self-confessed "very unfit and hungover" Railway team took two hours 13 minutes to complete the course, which was good enough for 15th place.

The rafters would like to thank the Railway Inn for their sponsorship, which helped raise three hundred pounds for the St Davids Foundation.
