DANCE classes with a twist are being offered by Gloucestershire Dance.
Children aged two to four-years-old are being invited to join a new dance project and, unlike other classes, this one encourages parents and carers to take part too.
The classes, called Creepy-Crawlies, are being run by Vikki Whitlock, an experienced dance leader and infant school teacher.
She said: "This project is unique in that it has a focus on creative play through dance.
"Using stories and songs from different cultures, the classes will fuel imagination and stimulate creative play - it will also develop co-ordination, agility and fitness."
Vikki added: "There is no other dance class on offer in this area where carers and younger siblings can join in, so it's a unique opportunity for parents to fully engage with their children."
Project leader Lucy Savvidou said: "We have Awards for All funding (part of the National Lottery) for the first 25 classes in Gloucester, and we're hoping to be able to extend this pilot scheme to other parts of the county.
"The classes are free, although there will be a voluntary contribution of £1 per family per week."

Vikki Whitlock will be running a dance session for four to seven-year-olds at Under the Edge Arts, Wotton-under-Edge on Sunday, October 2. This is part of Leaves and Leaps, an autumn afternoon that also includes an art and craft session. Book on 01453 844851.
