SIX different goalscorers gave new Sharpness manager Jake O'Neill a fine win in his first game in charge of his new club, writes Keith Watson.
The former Wotton Rovers and Shortwood United boss watched the Sharks ease past struggling Chalford by six goals to nil.
It is hoped that O'Neill will be able to lift Sharpness up the table to a position more in keeping with a side that finished runners-up in the Northern Senior League last term.
A spokesman for the club said: "Getting a manager for a NSL team is a very difficult job and we are pleased to welcome Jake O'Neill, who has a lot of experience at this level.
"Terry Gibbs and Bob Paul did a tremendous job for Sharpness Football Club and we will always be thankful for their efforts."
The club still hope Gibbs will return as a player once he gets over a long-term injury.
Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One Chalford 0 Sharpness 6
SHARPNESS eased to victory over Chalford with three goals in each half.
Dave Nash gave the Sharks an early lead before Matt Frankham and an own goal made it 3-0 at the break.
Mike Sherman netted the fourth, Kyle Palmer made it 5-0 and Chris Andrews rounded things off with a cracking 20-yard volley with ten minutes remaining.
Sharpness may have scored more but the home goal had a charmed life.
