Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two

Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two Dursley Town 2 Lydbrook Athletic 2

PLAYER-MANAGER Martin Booth struck twice as Dursley came from 2-0 down to get a point against league leaders Lydbrook.

Booth initially pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time and then hit a brilliant equaliser with quarter of an hour left.

However, despite bombarding the visitors' goal, Town could not find a winner and were left to ponder to slow start that saw them go two goals behind.

Craig Emsley and Mike Nelson scored with a looping header and a terrific drive as Athletic got themselves 2-0 up inside the 30-minute mark.

Dursley raised their game thereafter and got back to 2-1 at half-time when Paul Little's persistence gave Booth an opportunity, which he took.

The home side had a huge amount of possession after the break and were rewarded 15 minutes from time when Tim Woodward crossed for Booth to superbly volley into the Lydbrook net from 10 yards.

Booth told the Gazette: "It was unlucky that we couldn't get the winning goal we deserved."
