ONE GFA North Senior Amateur Cup Cam Bulldogs 3 Dursley Town 4 (After extra time) (Printed November 11) DURSLEY came from a goal down on three separate occasions before Lee Thomas broke away to smash the winning goal. On the same day, Charfield also upset opposition from a higher division with a 2-1 win at Tetbury Town.
TWO Readers League Division One Tewkesbury v Stone (Printed September 2) CHARLIE VINEY kept Stone in with a chance of promotion by taking 3-33 and then coming into bat to hit the last ball of the match for four.
THREE Stroud District Junior Cup Final Dursley United 35 Painswick II 10 (Printed April 22) UNITED captain Alan Smith led his side to Stroud Cup victory at Fromehall Park. Dursley were always the better side and deserved to take the silverware.
FOUR Readers League Division Three Charfield v Stinchcombe (Printed September 9) NEEDING a win to confirm promotion, Charfield bowled local rivals Stinchcombe out for 102 before reaching their target for the loss of just two wickets. However, there was no joy for Stone or Cam, who missed out on promotion on the final day of the season on a heartbreaking day for both clubs.
FIVE Northern Senior League Division One Berkeley Town 3 Kingswood 0 (Printed October 7) A GOOD win on its own, Town's win over Kingswood completed a run of three local derby wins in three weeks. Berkeley did not even concede a goal as they beat Cam Bulldogs 2-0 at Everlands and Sharpness 4-0 at Vale of Berkeley before their home win over Kingswood.
SIX Readers League Division Four Cam v Gloucester Harlequins (Printed May 13) AFTER going more than two seasons without a league win, Cam finally came out on top with a hard-earned victory. Cam started shakily but an unbeaten 31 from Rog Hall got them to 122-8 and a real team effort in the field finished the visitors off for 78.
SEVEN Northern Senior League Division One Broadwell Amateurs 1 Kingswood 4 (Printed November 4) KINGSWOOD stunned league leaders Broadwell Amateurs with a wonderful display of attacking football. Two weeks later, a win over Shortwood United Reserves moved Kingswood into second place in the league - their highest ever position.
EIGHT Stroud & Swindon Division One Frampton III v Cam III (Printed June 10) FRAMPTON'S last man was run out to tie an incredible game. Cam slumped to 55-9 but managed to work their way to 93 all out. Frampton then charged to 75-0 before Barrie Hillier and Mariusz Zoglowek sparked an incredible collapse to 93 all out.
NINE Glos County Women's League Dursley Town 3 Cam Bulldogs 3 (Printed December 2) JULIANNE FARRAGHER hit two goals in the last three minutes of an exciting derby to pull Dursley from 3-1 down to 3-3.
TEN Glos County Women's League Stoke Lane Athletic 2 Cam Bulldogs 6 (Printed October 7) CAM turned the tables on Stoke Lane to record a thumping win. Michelle Purse hit five goals and Lucy Bennett one.
