England call-up for Charfield youngster

FORMER Charfield junior footballer Sean Rigg (above) has been selected for the England U19s squad.

Rigg made the final squad for the February matches after trials in Bristol and two weekends at the England training camp at Lilleshall. He will take on Australia at Telford in February before flying to Italy for a six-day colleges tournament.

Rigg is a second year scholar at Bristol Rovers and plays in both the U18s side and the reserves. He recently scored the winning goal in Rovers Reserves' 2-1 win over Cardiff City Reserves.
