Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One Cam Bulldogs 8 Shortwood United Res 1
LOZ DORMAN and Danny McIntosh both hit hat-tricks as Cam produced some irresistible football against struggling Shortwood.
The Bulldogs were 5-0 up inside half an hour with United's predominantly young team completely unable to cope with the home side.
The visitors were particularly unable to match Cam physically at set pieces and the hosts took full advantage early on.
Just five minutes had elapsed when Dorman's inswinging corner from the right was headed into the net by McIntosh at the far post.
Five minutes later McIntosh headed his second in similar fashion with the goalkeeper flailing woefully under the cross.
Shortwood were unable to cope with the movement of the Bulldogs' front three and Dorman stroked home the third on the quarter hour after he raced clear of a terribly disorganised back line.
He then added a fourth from close range after taking advantage of a mix-up between defender and goalkeeper and completed his hat-trick on 25 minutes after weaving his way through the static defence.
Cam might have had more but Pat Young had a header kicked off the line and Pete Holder blocked teammate Jack Barnfield's low shot.
The home side remained in complete control up to and after half-time with Dave Stevenson and Joe Iatalese playing particularly well.
It became 6-0 ten minutes after the break when Holder's fine run and cut back allowed Barnfield to slide in to score at the near post.
The seventh goal should have arrived soon afterwards but Iatalese blazed over with the wildest inaccuracy after Dorman laid a chance on a plate for him.
However, 15 minutes from the end, McIntosh rose at the far post to head a Dorman corner in for his hat-trick with the goalkeeper once again nowhere near the cross.
The Bulldogs even brought on reserve goalkeeper Keith Watson in attack for the last ten minutes against the demoralised visitors.
Cam's eighth goal came five minutes from time when Coburn flicked Sean Clune's long throw in at the near post.
United did have the final say, getting a consolation with virtually the last kick of the game after Brad Price gifted them a free run on goal with a dreadful pass.
