Hideous building

WE LEARN from your paper (Gazette, Jan 20) that Gloucestershire County Council is likely to cut library services and that two towns may lose their libraries altogether.

What a shame when this same council has just spent nearly £1 million of taxpayers' money to build that monstrosity in May Lane, which will presumably eventually open as our library.

This hideous building will be a permanent reminder of the shame of all those responsible for it.
