Paperboy's bike returns

A PAPERBOY who won a bicycle in a Gazette competition has been left confused after his prized cycle was mysteriously returned.

Rednock student Aaron Nash, 14, woke last Thursday morning to find that his bike, which he had owned for less than a year, had been taken from outside his family home on Uley Road, Dursley.

Aaron won his beloved Giant Rock SE Bicycle last June in the Gazette's Paperboy of the Year competition. He had been nominated in the competition by his employees Bailey's News who he still works for.

Mum Julie said Aaron was devastated about the loss because he is usually so careful with his bicycle.

She told the Gazette: "He religiously locks it in the shed every night but last Thursday he wasn't feeling too well so he took himself off to bed after having his tea.

"We woke in the morning to find the bike had gone. He hadn't had it a year." However, after almost a week of having to do his paper round by foot Aaron's bike returned.

Mrs Nash said: "It's great to have it back but also quite strange. I'd put the word around at the school and with neighbours, even where I work and now five days later its reappeared in the same way it disappeared.

"Aaron is overjoyed to have it back. We don't know who took it but they've given it back so that's excellent."
