Around in circles

FOLLOWING the letter about diverted traffic due to the water works in Cam, I would like to complain about heavy traffic along the Dursley Road between the police station and the Yew Tree pub, especially at the top of Lambsdowne.

The first problem is the speed of heavy lorries from the Lister/Bymacks building sites as they crash over the awful potholes in the deteriorating road surface at the top of Lambsdowne. The noise and vibration and fumes make it impossible to open windows. As this starts early in the morning it disrupts one's sleep. This has been going on for many months. When is it going to end?

Secondly is the total disregard of the speed limit. This is very dangerous to both road traffic and pedestrians. After numerous phone calls to both police and county council, both of whom pass the buck to the other and end up going around in circles, they do nothing.
