WIZARD Workshops are currently being run at Kingshill House, Dursley by the Dursley Operatic and Dramatic Society.
For members of its youth theatre section, the workshops take place on Monday evenings and lead up to the society's 2007 production of The Wizard of Oz.
Publicity officer Craig Hewlett said: "This is a very exciting project for the DODS - the whole cast will be made up from their talented young people, all of whom will be 18 or under at the time of the auditions."
The workshops include solo singing, song and dance, physical comedy and stagecraft. Any young people who would like to gain valuable experience and skills with a view to taking part in The Wizard of Oz are welcome.
The auditions for the show will take place later this year - the date is yet to be finalised.
DODS Youth Theatre members must be in the first year of secondary school or above to be eligible for membership - anyone interested in joining can contact Chad Staddon on 01453 547380 or visit www.dursleyods.org.uk
Tickets are now available for the DODS musical production, Little Shop of Horrors, running from May 1 to May 6 at the Lister Hall, Dursley - ticket hotline is 0789 020 3318.
