DISABLED residents at a Cam residential home have accused people visiting the GL11 Project of blocking them in "day after day."
One resident has described how cars parked outside Glebe House create difficulties for visitors and helpers.
Concerns have also been raised about extra cars being parked by visitors taking GL11-sponsored country walks. They meet at the project building in Fairmead, next to the home.
Mrs H Hodgkinson, a resident at Glebe House, told the Gazette: "We, the tenants of the four flats facing the GL11 Project building and the four flats alongside, are heartily sick of being blocked in our homes day after day. Most of the culprits are people going to the GL11 Project building.
"This is ridiculous because there is a stretch of grassland at the side of the GL11 Project building which could be used as a car park, not to mention the huge expanse of grass outside the main block."
Leaders from the GL11 Project said this week that they would do everything they could to resolve the issue.
Marilyn Mckechnie, a community development manager, said: "We haven't received any complaints from people living nearby. If we had something would have been done about it.
"There have only been about four people taking the art walks so we have plenty of room for them. We do, however, get lots of visitors taking courses and visiting us for other reasons.
"We have a good relationship with the residents and often work with them. We'll make sure the problem is resolved and urge people to contact us if they have any more."
A spokesman for Stroud District Council, which runs the home, said: "We are aware that this is causing the elderly residents a few problems and we will be talking to the GL11 Project and working with them to make sure their visitors work with the neighbours."
