A 21-YEAR-OLD man was seriously attacked after a night out clubbing in Dursley on Saturday.
The victim was found by passing members of the public in an alleyway near the Broadwell area of the town at 4.15am.
It is believed the young man, who suffered head injuries, had been partying at Capone's nightclub on Long Street earlier in the evening. However, police believe he sustained his injuries after leaving the club.
The man was taken to Gloucester Royal Hospital by ambulance for treatment but returned home later that day.
Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses to the assault which happened sometime overnight between Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18.
Matt Ford, spokesman for Gloucestershire police, said the force is investigating the incident and would appreciate any help from the public.
He said: "We would like to urge anybody who might have seen something to come forward to help with our investigations."
Anyone with information should contact Gloucestershire Police on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 100 for February 18 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
