Magnificent seven

Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One Shortwood United Res 0 Kingswood 7

ADAM HARBER ran riot as Kingswood truly returned to form with an absolute hammering of Shortwood United Reserves.

Shortwood's form had picked up since they were on the wrong end of an 8-1 trouncing from Cam Bulldogs in January but they fell to pieces in the second half of this encounter.

Kingswood led 3-0 at the break after goals from Harber, Kevin Spill and Barrie Dibden, who netted for the first time in three months.

The home side did create a number of chances themselves in the second half but the Kingswood defence was in fine form.

However, the main problem for the hosts was their inability to plug the gaps at the other end of the field.

Harber hit a second half hat-trick to take his personal tally to four and Paul Bleaken also got on the scoresheet as the visitors clocked up a magnificent seven.
