Hill beaten at will

Gloucestershire Merit Table Division Three Dursley United 30 Coney Hill II 5

AN HOUR of tremendous rugby brought Dursley United rich rewards in their top-of-the-table clash with Coney Hill seconds.

The home side clocked up a 30-0 lead by the hour mark with tries being scored on a regular basis.

Flanker Simon Lane opened the scoring early on and man of the match Joe Bilous got the second after great play by Luke Sykes.

A penalty made it 13-0 at the break and United continued to dominate in the second half despite now having to play up the slope.

Benny Price claimed a score from a collective forwards effort before Lane and Rich Oldham also added tries.

The visitors did their best to get into the game but were halted by some excellent tackling from wingers Sykes and Lorne Ball.

Coney Hill had to fight hard for their consolation score, although it had no effect on the final outcome, which was a well deserved 30-5 victory for Dursley.
