Stagecoach have badly let their passengers down with service cuts

I SHOULD like to alert Uley bus users of the 20 service from Uley to Dursley, Cam and Stroud to the fact that Stagecoach has announced they are going to axe the excellent hourly daytime service and provide only two early morning buses and two returns in the early evening.

We feel sorely let down, especially as the reason given is a 10 percent increase in usage and more expected with the introduction of free bus passes.

More passengers getting on and off the bus delay the bus and the solution is to cut out Uley, where of course the numbers are fewer but a service is much needed. This seems bizarre!

Bus users are meeting this week and Uley Parish Council will be negotiating with the county council for their help.

Please will bus users watch for notices in the village post offices and sign a petition.
