Jack did so well

ON BEHALF of the membership of Dursley Lions Club may I congratulate Jack Evans on his recent fund raising effort for the Meningitis Trust (Gazette, March 10).

In a week when I became aware that a local young person was hospitalised with this condition, it was heartening to read of this lad's efforts. This is a cause which we as a club recently supported and for a person of his age to raise £2,000 by his own efforts is outstanding and an example to us all.
