THE U16 netball team from Katharine Lady Berkeley's School have completed their fixtures for the season and achieved a remarkable record in doing so.
The squad has been together since Year 8 and during this time they have been unbeaten in any school match, either friendly or league.
They became district champions at U13 level and county champions at U14, U15 and twice at U16 level - playing in an older age group the first time they achieved the U16 championship.
Four of the girls - Alice Marler, Lizi Bryant, Vicky Terrett and Rachael Giles - have played for Gloucestershire for three years. Marler, Bryant and Terrett also train with the South West High Performance squad.
The team has represented Gloucestershire at the last three regional championships and played in a tournament in Spain in October and only lost in the final to a much older team.
Marler and Bryant were talent-spotted by England Netball and Marler has gone on to represent England in an international tournament in Cardiff.
Dorothy Chilton has coached them for four years and takes great pride in what they have achieved.
She said: "They have been a pleasure to work with. Their commitment to training and desire to win has helped them maintain this marvellous record."
