CARL BAILEY and Pete Holder scored the goals as Cam enjoyed a good win over rivals Tetbury Town.

Despite the visitors enjoying a lot of possession, the Bulldogs always had enough to keep them at bay with the back three of Brad Price, Simon Penny and player-manager Stuart Grimwood giving nothing away.

Torrential rain meant that neither side produced a huge amount of quality but the game was certainly non-stop.

Jack Barnfield had already shot tamely at back-up Tetbury goalkeeper Scott Williams by the time Bailey gave his side the lead.

The ball broke to Loz Dorman in a crowded penalty area and his shot deflected across the face of goal for Bailey to drive past Williams' left hand from 15 yards.

Town arguably had the better of the half thereafter but failed to adequately test Ben Jagger in the Cam goal, who handled the slippery ball impeccably all afternoon.

The Bulldogs made it 2-0 just three minutes into the second half.

Barnfield produced a deft pass for Dorman and his pull back from the byline was drilled in from eight yards by Holder.

The visitors tried hard to get back into the game but Jagger made a fine save to hold their best effort of the half.

Indeed, if further goals had come it was much more likely that the hosts would add to their tally.

Barnfield wasted the best one, glancing a header well wide from a Bailey cross.

Dorman might also have scored but his shot was blocked by a defender after some fancy footwork on the edge of the box.
