WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE Arts Association is running its 36th annual festival from April 28 to May 7. One of the organisers Gordon Phillips said: "This year there is a theme of rejuvenation with the cinema refurbished, up and running again; and a resurrected schools music festival within our festival week." The Arts Association is also linking up with Under The Edge Arts, Wotton Dramatic Society,Wotton Historical Society and Fusion Gallery.

Friday, April 28 Town Hall, 7.30pm History of Chimneys & Onwards - talk by D ? Eveleigh, organised by HistoricalSociety Civic Centre, 8pm Art Exhibition Preview - local artists

Saturday, April 29 Civic Centre, 10am-5pm Art Exhibition Rose Hill School, Alderley, near Wotton, 8pm Harpsichord Recital by Robin Bigwood

Sunday, April 30 Civic Centre, 10am-4pm Art Exhibition Electric Picture House,7.30pm Double bill: 'All Eyes: Malaysia & Singapore' and 'South Asian Wonders' St Mary's Parish Church,6.30pm Festival Service

Monday, May 1 Civic Centre, 10am-4pm Art Exhibition

Tuesday, May 2 Electric Picture House, 7.30pm Double bill: 'COLLISION: Music & Animation' and 'Dance Films: Moves on tour'

Wednesday, May 3 St Mary's Parish Church, 6pm Concert by local schools - music from around the world

Thursday, May 4 Civic Centre, 7.30pm Life as an Artist, illustrated talk by artist Maggie Cousins

Friday, May 5 Under The Edge Arts, 7.30pm? One Act Play Evening, including 'Scapegoat' and 'Don't be a ******', directed by Dave Ashbee from Wotton Dramatic Society

Saturday, May 6 St Mary's Parish Church, 7.30pm Concert by the Emerald Ensemble, with Hayley Savage, including new piano trio commissioned for Festival

Sunday, May 7 Wotton Hill, 11am Traditional outdoor band concert by Wotton-under-Edge District Band Morley Green Room, 2.30pm Drama Workshop, 'Page to Stage', with Graham Bill
