Weekend preview for local football

BERKELEY Town will be hoping to bounce back in the Gloucestershire County League after their 4-0 defeat against league leaders Hardwicke last weekend.

They face Henbury at home, who are one place and six points below them in the table.

Bottom club Wotton face a tough trip to fourth-placed AXA.

In Northern Senior League Division One, runaway leaders Slimbridge travel to Broadwell Amateurs, while Kingswood travel to play Shortwood United reserves.

In the second division bottom side Charfield are away at Bredon.

In the Stroud League third division Berkeley Town reserves travel to Eastcombe, while mid-table sides Cam Bulldogs reserves and Sharpness reserves meet in a derby. Bottom club Alkerton are at home to Trident FC.

In division four, bottom but one club Charfield reserves host North Nibley, while Uley reserves face Barnwood reserves.

League leaders AC Royals have a week off in division five, so their nearest rivals BA Rangers will look to take advantage by beating Glevum United to go top of the table.

In division seven third placed Wickwar Wanderers travel to league leaders Ramblers A, who are three points ahead of them in the table. BA Rangers reserves and Uley A' face each other in a derby. Bottom club Alkerton Rangers 2nds host high-flying Upton St Leonards 2nds. Sports NCSC reserves host Horsley reserves.
