Swans on the brink
Northern Senior League Weekend Preview
SLIMBRIDGE could wrap up the Northern Senior League Division One title as early as this Saturday if results go in their favour.
At the time of writing they are a massive 22 points ahead of Bishop's Cleeve reserves, and one slip-up from their nearest rivals combined with one more win for the Swans will see them promoted to the Gloucestershire County League.
James Cole's side, who have so far gone unbeaten all season, travel to play Cheltenham Civil Service this weekend.
Kingswood will look to take the confidence from their impressive victory over Lydbrook last weekend ahead of their trip to bottom but one club Bourton Rovers.
Cam Bulldogs take on Shortwood United reserves in a mid-table clash, while Sharpness travel to Broadwell Amateurs.
In division two, Dursley Town will look to get their faltering promotion campaign back on track as they host bottom but one club Chalford.
They are currently three points behind leaders Gala Wilton, who have a game in hand.
Bottom club Charfield, whose form has improved in recent weeks, will hope to get something out of their trip to Tidenham.
