UNUSED NHS land should be used to build homes for health workers, according to the NHS Confederation.
The organisation which represents 560 health service organisations, has said that the NHS should release its reserves of spare land to create homes for doctors, nurses and other key medical staff.
It wants the NHS to create a new £10 billion NHS Homes Fund to create homes for staff and build accommodation such as modern versions of nurses’ homes.
