Review The Rat Pack Bristol Hippodrome A SWINGING night was had by all as The Rat Pack performed the hits we all know and love.
The trio, Frank Sinatra (Tam Ward), Sammy Davis Jr (Giles Terera) and Dean Martin (Mark Adams) recreated the magic of The Sands Hotel with a charming show full of laughs, liquor and great singing.
Frank, as the wisecracking leader of the pack, was suave and sophisticated and Tam Ward’s accent as one of the greatest stars of our time was flawless.
Songs included New York, New York, Lady is a Tramp and the hair-raising My Way.
Giles Terera was lively and theatrical as Sammy Davis Jr, wearing an array of costumes and dancing his way through numbers Mr Bojangles and Me and my Shadow.
But the immortal one-liners of Dean Martin stole the show and Mark Adams’ slurry haze was a testament to the star’s Jack Daniels-fuelled performances.
Dancers the Burelli sisters gave the evening a top up of class in this coolest of shows celebrating three legends of the music world.
