AN INSPIRATIONAL display of botanical illustrations, showing the true details of plants, their leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds. Members of this outstanding group of local artists will be on hand throughout the show to discuss their work.
The GSBI was formed in 1993 by the renowned botanical illustrator, teacher and author Mike Hickey. Many of the GSBI members are experienced artists, many having won the Royal Horticultural Society's Gold, Silver Gilt and Silver Medals both in the Grenfell (for art pictures) and Lindley (for scientific illustration), so the work on display is of high class.
At Nature in Art for two weeks ONLY, it is a great opportunity for keen gardeners and flora admirers alike to see their shared passion represented on canvas and to admire the skills of the artists painting this challenging but beautiful subject matter!
The Gloucestershire Society for Botanical Illustration Exhibition continues at Nature in Art, Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth until March 15.
