TOMATOJACK Arts in Berkeley are hosting an exhibition to promote and showcase mosaic art and craft created by people who have attended their mosaic making workshops over the last year.

The exhibition will be open for two days on Saturday 21and Sunday 22 March, from 10 am to 4 pm, and will remain on view until 12 April. More than 50 amateur artists will be showing their mosaics, many exhibiting for the first time. The skill and talent demonstrated in their work is stunning, even though many of them were new to this art form before they came to classes at TomatoJack Arts.

The range and diversity of mosaic art and craft being created in the workshops is amazing. The mosaics on display will demonstrate the use of many different materials, such as buttons, crockery, beads, rocks and slate as well as traditional glass and ceramic tiles. There is a huge range of individual styles on display with lots of experimentation with new techniques evident.

If you would like to see the ‘medley’ that modern mosaic can offer, then go along and be inspired at the variety and quality of mosaic art and craft produced in Berkeley; see works in progress; try your hand at cutting tiles and see how mosaics are made!

TomatoJack Arts is based in the beautiful and quaint White Hart Court just off the High Street in Berkeley.
