THE popular Palette Club are celebrating 25 years since they formed their Art group and on Saturday, November 7 at The Cam Parish Rooms (opposite Tesco) the club will be holding their eagerly awaited Affordable Art Show.

Members are busy painting and this show looks more promising than ever with many local scenes, pictures for every pocket and original greetings cards.

The Palette Club was formed in 1990 when a group of enthusiastic painters got together. For many years they met weekly at Cam Memorial Hall on a Wednesday morning but in recent years the Club has met at the lovely Art Room at Kingshill House, Dursley. The Club has always had only a dozen or so enthusiastic members and they enjoy inviting well known artists for special workshops and planning exciting painting trips to picturesque locations such as Acton Hall. Right from the beginning the group have held Annual Art Exhibitions and they are well known in the area for the quality of the work on show.

The Palette Club celebrated their anniversary with a visit to one of their favourite destinations The National Museum of Wales at Cardiff earlier in the year and this was followed in October with a trip to the outstanding Ashmolean Museum at Oxford.

Admission to the Affordable Art Show on Saturday, November 7 is free and the doors open at 10am.
