WESTONBIRT Arboretum is exploring all things ‘barky’ during February half-term holidays, with a range of crafty fun and challenges.

The special events start on Tuesday, February 14. To coincide with Valentine’s Day there will be weaving of twig hearts from willow and dogwood.

To explore the different textures and colours of bark, there will be a challenge for visitors to use just the bark and decide which tree it comes from.

Those with a creative flare will be able to try their hand at bark prints and other bark arts.

Chris Meakin, learning supervisor at Westonbirt Arboretum said: “Wrap up warm and head outside this February half term. Our ever popular crafty events turn a family walk into a creative day out.

"The great thing about creating art from nature is that every creation is completely unique. With our bark tree ID and the seasonal trail to follow you’ll all be learning a little along the way.”

Family events are included in the cost of admission.
