THE hardest working band in showbiz, Dub Pistols, will be dropping in to Stroud on Friday, April 14 at 8pm for a wild night of ‘Dubwise Magic’.

As they gear up to celebrate 20 years of riotous marauding, the Dub Pistols are prepping their seventh as-yet-untitled album in 2017.

These old-school rockers have worked with vocal legends like Rodney P, Busta Rhymes, Gregory Isaacs, Terry Hall, Lindy Layton, Akala and Horace Andy and have had Bono and The Edge at their shows.

In 2013, the group attained their second best live act award at The International Breakspoll Awards and they will be releasing a documentary about the band later in the year.

Back in the day, front-man Barry was quite wild — he wasn’t nominated for Muzik Magazine’s ‘Caner Of The Year’ award in the late ‘90s for nothing.

Onstage, he still likes to party along with the crowd who are lapping up a Dubs set, but he still holds it down in the run-up to those shows — he’s not a 24-hour party person any longer. Or is he?

Join them on the April 14 to see how wild these guys can be! Stroud is just one stop in their extensive UK tour and will kick start Stroud’s festival season.

The group will be supported by the brilliant ‘Other Animals’, the Australian 9 piece that are due for a massive set at Tooting Tram and Social in London only days before.

Tickets £14 in advance, £16 on the door. For more details, see: subscriptionrooms.org.uk.
