GLOUCESTERSHIRE Wildlife Trust are hosting a public open afternoon at Ozleworth Park, near Wotton-under-Edge, on Sunday, June 25 from 2-5pm.

Designed by Antony Young, Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall and Colin Durber, the gardens, which comprise of a rose garden, woodland, orchard and glasshouse, have been completely reconstructed over the last 25 years and boast views out to the rolling hills in the south.

James Bagshaw, fundraising officer at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, said: “Ozleworth Park is stunning and peaceful; we are extremely grateful to Mr & Mrs Andrew Stone for allowing us to invite the public to come and enjoy their gardens.”

An array of local environmentally-minded stall holders will be present selling their wares.

Andrew Bullock, keen butterfly conservationist and owner of The Lavender Garden in Tetbury, will be in attendance on the day selling his very locally grown plants.

He said: “It’s an excellent opportunity to buy lavender in one of the most beautiful gardens in Gloucestershire.”

Other stall holders present will be selling printed clothing, woollen and silk products, plants and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s very own fluffy animal toys.

Entrance is £5 per person and under 16’s are free. No need to book, just turn up on the day.

All proceeds will go to Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust to support their work protecting, restoring and expanding upon the wildlife and wild places in our beautiful county.
