THE Frampton Sheep Racing and Family Fun Day is back for its fourth consecutive year on Saturday, September 16 at Frampton Park.

Featuring eight hilarious sheep races, BBQ, bar, tote, bouncy castles and music, there really is something for everyone in what promises to be a fun-filled day for whole family to enjoy.

Each race is ‘donated’ to a local charity or organisation who are challenged with raising as much sponsorship money as possible, all of which they get to keep.

Founded and organised by a group of dedicated villagers from Frampton-on-Severn, the event has been so popular over the last few years that it has become a fixture on the Gloucestershire wacky event calendar.

The day brings together communities, raising several thousand pounds for local causes along the way.

On the day, families can enjoy local food and drink, music and entertainment. There’s even a tote for punters to place bets on their favourite sheep, before cheering them on as they jump the sheep-sized hurdles.

Use of the venue has been provided by kind permission of the Clifford family and local outdoor retailer, Attwoolls, have allowed organisers to use a large marquee to house the bar, tote and music.

Entry and parking is free.

Gates open from 2pm, with the first race starting off at 3pm. Pedestrian access is available via Fitcherbury and The Green only, with vehicle access signposted off the Perry Way.
