Thinking of planning a holiday but unsure you can afford one this year? You need worry no more as here is your solution.
Low-cost airlines such as easyjet, jet2.com and ryanair offer some great priced flights, sometimes seeming unbelievable with some really cheap holidays to the Costa Brava and other popular areas!
A helpful tip would be to sign up to each website and tick the box which asks for e-mail offers to be sent. Although these can be very annoying, they can come in very handy when they're offering great late seats which are perfect for you.
When you've received your e-mail and some great flight deals, get online and get booked up. Low-cost airlines make a high percentage of their profit from ancillary sales, so watch what you add on...it all adds up!
Take the free hand luggage and don't be tempted to add on the extra luggage, you're not going away for long so pack nice and light and be careful what toiletries you take. Don't add on the in-flight meals, take a sandwich and a bag of crisps and that'll do you until you land. When it comes to pre-booking your seats, don't bother, as most of the time there are seats to spare on these types of flights so you shouldn't struggle in sitting where you want.
Now you've booked your discounted flights, it's time to search for a cheap hotel. With several hotel only sites out there, it's important to go with a trustworthy one with excellent prices!
Medhotels.com and Octopus travel are both great and sometimes include free kids places and free nights.
Search the net and myvouchercodes.co.uk before booking anything to ensure you're not missing out on any silent discount codes!
After finding the perfect accommodation with the perfect price tag, get it booked!
Costa Brava was one of the cheapest trips I've ever been on which i found and booked using this great method of searching.
I booked my flights with ryanair, all-inclusive accommodation with a low-cost accommodation site and took myself away for 3 nights.
In total I paid £33 including all taxes. Now I understand that this was probably a once in a lifetime find, however, it does go to show that by putting some time, effort and lots of good luck into searching for a bargain holiday, a budget break can be had.
So when you're trying to decide if you can afford a holiday abroad this year, try my method of searching for cheap holidays to the Costa Brava and book yourself a last minute, bargain break!
