DURSLEY Male Voice Choir are performing their annual concerts this year on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May, in the Lister Hall Chantry Centre Dursley, starting at 7.30pm

The Choir have been working hard to bring their appreciative audiences a mix of pieces old and new, some of which have been written and arranged by their talented Musical Director Barrie Cooper. Included will be the first performance of Barrie's "Creation", which is sure to impress.

Performing as guest soloist with the Choir will be the splendidly versatile Mandy Starr. Mandy began her professional life with a scholarship to the Trinity College of Music in London, but later decided to further her career in the world of light entertainment.

She has sung the Welsh national anthem at the Millennium Stadium, as well as performing at home and abroad with stars too many to mention. Mandy has also been a regular performer on BBC Radio Wales.

This will be the first time that Mandy has joined the Choir in concert, and both choristers and music team alike are proud and honoured that this versatile entertainer has agreed to star with them.

Tickets for the concerts, for which demand is already high, cost £8 and can be bought from Durcan's in Dursley; Westward Travel in Wotton-under-Edge and Castle Estate Agents in Thornbury. Alternatively you can visit our website at www.dursleymalechoir.org.uk, or phone Steve Downton on 07703 131356.
