THE Orchestra of St John’s returns to Stroud Subscription Rooms this May following last year’s very successful concerts, culminating in a lively Messiah in December.
This time round, the OSJ is represented by a string chamber orchestra and contralto soloist. Performing a programme of two very well known works for strings, combined with a lesser known miniature masterpiece by Ottorino Respighi, Il Tramonto, this is sure to be another evening of sublime music making from one of the UK classical music scene’s best kept secrets, conducted by their founder John Lubbock OBE.
