MULTI-award winning and exceptional songwriter Gavin Davenport has in a few short years become a major rising star of the folk scene, and Under the Edge Arts are delighted to welcome Gavin to the Chipping Hall in Wotton-Under-Edge on Saturday, May 23.
Gavin's bold, distinctive vocals, multi-instrumental skills wrapped around a unique, percussive guitar style and a knack for stark contemporary songwriting unite the best of the oral tradition with a modern relevance and an incisive eye for detail. Gavin's songwriting and performance has drawn plaudits and admiration from some of the biggest names of the folk scene and his songs are sung by other, well respected, performers.
